Late Regency Satin Birch Pedestal Desk of Compact Proportions

Description

Excellent quality, late Regency satin birch pedestal desk of compact proportions; the rectangular cross banded top with a reeded moulded edge and a dark green leather inset with a tooled surround and with appropriate wear. The graduating drawers with original finely turned and reeded knob handles; all with cockbeaded edges and original working locks. The drawer linings of exceptional quality made in ash. The pedestals with a slender moulded edge and raised on shallow, moulded plinths, housing concealed castors to the underside. The rear of the desk having a panelled back.
