Antique Leather & Mahogany Swivel Desk Chair

1900 - 1920
Description

This antique deep buttoned leather swivel armchair is the Rolls Royce of desk chairs & is one of most comfortable chairs I’ve sat on. It’s so comfortable that it could just be used as an armchair without a desk. The height can be adjusted & it sits on mahogany legs with porcelain casters. The original leather has a wonderful original colour & is in excellent condition. The back is deep buttoned, with good back & head support. It has a roll over back on the top & the leather is hand tacked all over. I would date this chair to around the 1910 period, although the porcelain casters look like they are Victorian.
