A Solid Oak Jacobean Revival Pedestal Desk

1900 - 1920
Description

A solid oak Jacobean Revival pedestal desk. The rectangular solid oak top with an inset red leather writing surface with blind and gilt tooled detail. The front has nine rectangular drawers with solid oak linings and drawer fronts and high quality brass drop handles. Each pedestal having reeded pilasters and split baluster ebony mouldings. With solid oak panelled ends and back all supported on turned oak supports with bun feet and joined by carolean shaped stretchers. English circa 1900-1910

Dimensions: 54" wide x 28" deep x 30" high (knee hole 25" high x 22" deep)

Condition: This desk is in superb original condition, cleaned and waxed. There is one old repair to the moulding on the back
