Large Victorian Cut Crystal and Sterling Silver Globe Perfume Bottle - 1891

Description

A highly sought-after large spherical cut crystal bottle with wonderful large clear vertical panels interspersed by exquisite and intricate cutting and a cut creating a shield shape which mimics the shield shaped cartouche to the top of the silver lid.

The collar and hinged top are English sterling silver with a hallmark for Birmingham 1891, making this a true Victorian example.

Once the lid is opened the cut crystal stopper can be revealed and the interior of the lid, gilded. The top itself is decorated with a beautiful, flowing floral and foliate repousse design.

This exceptional bottle is sure to please in excellent condition and measuring and impressive 5 3/4" tall with a diameter measuring approximately 4 1/2".
