A Rare Edwardian Irish Silver Inkwell

1900 - 1920
Description

A handsome Edwardian silver inkwell from the sought after Dublin Assay Office. This appealing piece has a large raised base with a baluster shaped body and three applied handles in the form of a tyg or loving cup. The lid is hinged and the flat lid opens to reveal the liner inside. Irish silver is always in great demand and this handsome inkwell is a lovely example, both practical and decorative. A great piece of Edwardian deskware. Dimensions below.
