Superb Antique Victorian Oak Roll Top Desk with Secret Drawers C1880

This is a Superb Quality Antique Victorian Oak Roll Top Desk with Secret Drawers and dating from around 1880. Constructed from quality oak it has a high ‘ S’ shaped roll back with polished top . The tambor front with original handle and lock escutcheon and working key, rolls back to reveal a superb interior with fourteen assorted drawers , pen trays and letter racks. An additional feature of the desk are the three secret drawers ( please see photos). To each Pedastal there is a book slide above four graduating drawers all of which are oak lined with original carved oak handles. There is a single drawer to the centre above the panelled kneehole. The desk has fielded panelled sides and back and is raised on a plinth base on castors. This superior quality desk s parades for ease of transporting.
