Wonderful and very charming novelty match striker dating to the 1930's, unsigned and made from spelter and cold painted in tones of silver and coppery gold. This figural striker depicts a golfer in his stride smoking a pipe while being followed by a child holding his golf bag. The striker which one has to assume would have been shaped like a golf club is unfortunately missing. That said, this figural group still remains very desirable and if you collect Art Deco figures and want something a little less generic than the nude lady pose then this might be for you. I am certainly tempted to keep it. Condition is pretty good, there are some deep scratches to the base near the recess which the striker would have rested. The paint work is very good, the odd tiny pin prick missing but overall above average condition. This set is a nice size too, see dimensions. FREE UK delivery
