1930s Silver Vertex Half Hunter Pocket Watch

1930s silver Vertex half hunter pocket watch.

The watch has a good quality signed 15-jewel stem-winding movement which is working nicely. The movement is protected by an inner hinged cover which is engraved with the wording, 'From the employees of LCWW, 1932'.

The watch measures 52mm diameter excluding the winding crown and the loop. The case is silver and there are hallmarks inside the covers for Birmingham 1919 with a case maker's mark for Aaron Dennison, an English prolific case maker who manufactured cases for various watch factories. The case is in lovely condition and the engine turned detail is still nice and crisp. There is a cartouche to the back of the watch which contains the initials WG.

The winding crown pushes in to open the front cover. Inside there is an acrylic lens which is in good condition.

The signed dial is in lovely condition with original blued steel hands, including the special half hunter hour hand so the time can be read even when the front cover is closed.

The watch will be sent in a new presentation box.
