Offered for sale is this early 18th century oak drop leaf dining table. Would seat 4 people comfortably.
Dating from 1760 possibly slightly earlier. Made from oak. Wonderful primitve pegged joint construction. Excellent colour and patina. Nice thick oak top with oval drop flaps, standing turned legs & stretchers. Gate leg action. Has a draw to one side with brass handle. The carving to the top is a later addition probably done in the Victorian era.
Wonderful colour and patina. Very solid and sturdy. Genuine wear consistent with its age & use.
Measures 26" high, 36" deep, 33" wide with both flaps up, 13.5" wide with the flaps down.
