Georgian Oak Corner Cupboard with Glazed Door

Description

An attractive small antique Georgian hanging corner cupboard in extensively carved oak with a single glazed panel door. It has a working lock and key (replacement) and 2 shelves to the interior. It has a fancy brass escutcheon and brass H-hinges to the door. This piece dates from circa 1800 but has been carved in the Victorian period; a popular past time of the era, carving earlier planer pieces to give a more fashionable gothic look.

Good condition. Good colour and patina. Wear and marks commensurate with age. Later carved. Replacement lock.
