Description

A French tortoishell and silver striking carriage clock of larger proportions. Fine quality fretted silver case mounts to the front, sides and rear with a hinged lock. Silver bun feet. A circular silvered engraved dial with silver bezel. Engraving to the dial centre. A lever escapement to the 8-day duration mechanism striking the 1/2 hours and hours on a gong. Circa 1905.
