Pair Georgian Mahogany Carved Elbow Chairs Circa 1785

Description

Fine quality pair George III mahogany elbow chairs with finely carved Prince of Wales feathers triple splat backs, carved top rails and carving to the shaped arms. Standing on square tapered legs united with plain stretchers. In fine original country house condition each chair with one old repair. Both are firm. Lovely rich dark colour with fine waxed patina.

Size; 36" high, 22" across arms, 20 deep, 18" high seat.
