Description

Early 20th.c. giltwood and marble top window or centre table c.1930. A little larger and more sturdy than many tables we see of this type. Beautifully figured and original 1¼" thick marble top with serpentine shaped and moulded edges all round. On a shapely giltwood frame with carved and moulded detail repeated on each side. Legs joined with curving stretchers to a bergere or canework shelf, the frame also serpentine shaped and moulded. A few chips to the edges of the marble otherwise excellent condition retaining the original gilt finish with only minor wear.
