Description

Splendid large late 19th.c. brass stick or umbrella stand c.1890. Standing 34" tall, of tapering form with a bowed front and flat back to stand against a wall. Raised top panel at the rear to protect the wall from being marked by sticks as they are placed inside. Decorated with a superb embossed pattern of a Renaissance style grotesque mask flanked with metamorphic lions. Flared base for stability. Excellent condition.
