1948 Longines 14k Gold 'Tank' Wristwatch

1920 - 1940
Description

A 1948 14K gold Longines ‘tank’ style wristwatch. A silvered dial with raised Arabic numerals and a subsidiary seconds dial at 6 o’clock. A 14K gold case with extended lugs and a raised bezel, signed to the inner ‘Longines Wittnauer’ and ‘Wadsworth 14K gold’. A good quality 17 jewel caliber 9L Swiss made mechanism by Longines, stamped to the backplate LXW. Serial numbers date this watch to circa 1948.
