Pretty Antique English Sterling Silver Card Case - Bows, Garlands and Flower Basket

Description

An absolutely stunning Edwardian visiting card case / aide memoir, really very pretty, engraved on both sides.

The engraving is exceptional with bows to the top with trailing floral garlands leading down to a full handled flower basket, exquisite!

The catch works well and snaps shut perfectly. The interior is lined with a soft pink leather lining. The case doubles as an aide memoir with a bone tablet and a silver propelling pencil which I am yet to get working but there is lead inside.

In one pocket, there are a couple of original visiting cards which I will leave intact with this piece.

The silver is hallmarked for Birmingham 1907. Excellent condition, measuring 4 1/4" x 3" while closed.
