Fabulous Antique English Silver Plated and Glass Sugar Basket

Description

A wonderful and really highly decorative sugar bowl or basket, perfect for chocolates, preserves, nuts, dried fruits or perhaps pot-pourri or guest soaps. Whatever you use if for, it sure to be the centre of attention with it's original turquoise coloured glass liner.

Dating to the Victorian era, around 1880, the decoration incorporates four repousse fruit vignettes.

The foot is marked EPNS for Electro-Plated Nickel Silver.

Excellent condition standing 4 3/4" high x 7 1/4" handle to handle with the glass liner having a diameter measuring 4".
