Antique silver Lancashire Watch Company pocket watch.

The watch has a key-wound movement which is working well. The movement is stamped with the words 'reversing pinion', which is a device which prevents damage if the mainspring breaks. A winding key is included. The movement is protected by an inner fitted cover.

The watch measures 54.8mm diameter excluding the stem and the loop. The case is silver and there are hallmarks inside both of the case backs for Chester 1901 with a case maker's mark for Thomas Hewitt of the Lancashire Watch Company. The case has light surface marking from use and some wear to the engine turned detail on the back but overall it is in nice condition for a 1901 piece.

The glass lens is in good condition.

The dial has several faint hairline cracks between 10 & 11 o'clock but otherwise it is in nice condition.

The watch has its original gold hands and a blued steel sub seconds hand.

The watch will be sent in a new presentation box.
