An attractive 19th century english bracket clock by D.C and Co. The Douglas Clock company traded from Birminham and made some very fine clocks during the latter part of the 19th century. This clock striking the hour and half hour on a single wire gong.
The lovely mahogany case with brass ball feet, brass binding to the top and a solid brass handle has a most lovely brass inlay to each corner. The wooden fret work to the sides has been re-silked by us due to the condition of the original.
The 6 inch silvered dial is in good condition showing no scratches to the winding holes as is normally the case with previous poor handling. The key for the rear door is present as is the original winding key.
The striking movement has been fully overhauled by us and comes with a full three years guarantee for your peace of mind.
