Description

A finely detailed Victorian brass cherub doorstop with the original cast iron base tucked underneath the base. On the cast iron base there are two maker's marks - but the only clear one is the word ENGLAND.

The doorstop weighs over 4kgs and measures just under 50cm in height and at the widest part of the base it is 22.5cm.

It is in very good condition and has been lightly polished but not lacquered. It proved difficult to photograph because the light bounces around the curved shapes, but it is a rich brass colour.
