Antique Longcase Clock

1900 - 1920
Description

A spectacular 8 bell striking Edwardian longcase clock of Georgian design and proportions. A mahogany case with superb marquetry inlays to the case. Corinthium capped fluted hood columns and side glass hood apertures. Fretwork to the hood pediment with 2 original brass finials. A well engraved arched silvered brass dial with seconds dial, strike/silent lever and 4 or 8 bells chime lever. A quarter striking mechanism on bells with the hours on a gong of fine construction. 8-day duration with 3 brass cased weights.

One of the best inlaid clocks from this period I have seen.
