Antique Swedish Satin Birch Secretaire Chest

Description

Antique satin birch Swedish secretaire chest dating from the mid-1800’s & in excellent condition. The satin birch is a lovely blond colour & has beautiful patterns in the veneers running nicely throughout this piece. The interior of the secretaire is stunning, with many banks of small drawers & an internal cupboard in the middle. There are three drawers below with original locks & fine dovetails. The bottom of this secretaire is ebonised & so are the claw feet. This secretaire has just come over from Sweden & been polished. It’s rare to find one in such good condition & of such a nice colour. We also have a couple of working keys with this piece.
