Antique Mantel Clock

Description

A Charles X period small French ormolu mantel clock with a bronze tree stump flanked by a classical figure. Musical mounts to the frieze and feet. A foliate edging to the engine turned dial with 'moon' hands. An 8-day duration movement striking the 1/2 hour and hours on a bell with silk pendulum suspension. Circa 1820.
