Marylebone Antiques has dated this piece to the 1850s.
The marble top has a small repair on one corner. We haven’t attempted to restore the gilding, because that’s for a professional or for someone who is very handy. It probably just need a bit of plaster & gold leaf. I would date this table to around the early 1800’s, but I’m not 100% sure. It has classical faces around the top edge, with crossed torches below. There also loads of relief work all over. The four legs are fluted with cross stretchers between. In the centre there’s a very decorative finial with floral work sweeping out from it. Like I said, please enlarge all the images, because the decoration is stunning. This table would sit well in a bay window, or many other places in the home. The gilt work is original & the table is stable.
