A George I Style Walnut and Burr Walnut Writing Desk.

1900 - 1920
Description

A good George I Style walnut and burr walnut writing desk. Having a rectangular top with an inset tan leather writing surface, which is banded in walnut and with a block moulded edge. The frieze having three walnut veneered cushion moulded drawers with brass pear drop handles and further block moulded detail. There are a further three drawers to each pedestal all with oak linings and matching brass handles and escutcheons. The pedestals having canted corners and walnut veneered ends and reverse, all standing on shaped bracket feet with the original working locks and key. English circa 1900-1920 in the George I Style

Dimensions: 48" wide x 22" deep x 29" high (knee hole 24" high x 21" wide)

Condition: This desk is in excellent original condition, cleaned and waxed
