Superb quality set of 4 carved shield-back salon armchairs in the manner of the leading late C18th George III period cabinet-maker and designer, George Hepplewhite . Raised on shaped fore-legs with feather-carved feet , the swept scroll arms with carved block terminals and paterae . The deeply concaved shield-shaped backs fitted with five feather-carved splats beneath a serpentine top-rail .

The generously proportioned seats of serpentine outline, and having clean, high-quality recent period-style upholstery in a well-chosen fabric of subtle design and colour .

Have achieved a good period style colour and patina , with some gentle atmospheric fading through exposure to sun-light .

Excellent grade of chosen mahogany timber and exceptional attention to detail which faithfully copies important C18th period originals .
