Aesthetic Movement James Shoolbred & Co Side Table C.1880.

Description

Very stylish little Aesthetic movement side table by the celebrated London cabinet makers James Shoolbred & Co. c.1880. In solid walnut with original ebonised finish. 24" square top with a moulded edge over a single drawer and unusual trefoil pierced brackets at the corners. Raised on bobbin turned legs set at a dramatically splayed angle and joined with crossed stretchers. Original drawer handle. Stamped with a maker’s mark and serial numbers on the top of the drawer front. Very good condition, simply cleaned and waxed in our workshops.
