Description

A good quality pair of solid Sterling Silver sauce boats with matching ladles contained in their original fitted case. The sauce boats have elegant arched handles and a wavy rim, standing on three splayed legs. The ladles are a simple design with plain arched handles. The total weight of silver is approximately 269g. All four pieces are fully and clearly hallmarked for Viners Ltd, Sheffield, 1940.

They are all in very good condition. There are signs of age and use, one ladle handle is slightly bent and there are some faint surface marks and a few light scratches and small dinks but nothing detrimental. They have been lightly cleaned and polished and are ready for use.

The case is excellent quality with a silk lid lining and fitted velvet base. The outer of the case is not without some signs of age and knocks and scuffs around the edges but overall it displays very well.
