Arts & Craft Swedish Silver Mustard Pot by A. Nielsen, Import Marks for Sweden 1920

Description

This unusual Arts & Crafts Scandinavian silver mustard pot was made by the Danish silversmith Andreas Nielsen and bears Swedish import marks for 1920. The tall baluster body with a spot-hammered finish and embossed with a decorative girdle. The domed cover with round finial and conforming decorations. The back with an unusual planished handle.

The interior fitted with a blue glass liner.

Hallmarks:

Swedish import marks (three crowns in oval punch mark) followed by letter "S"

Maker's marks AN for Andreas Nielsen

Lund city mark.

Date letter "S7" for 1920

Dimensions:

Height: 9cm / 3.4 inches.

Rim diameter: 5.5cm / 2.2 inches

Base diameter: 4cm / 1.5 inches.

Condition:

Very good.
