A Regency Period Flame Mahogany Press Cupboard in the Manner of Gillows.

Description

A Regency Period flame mahogany press cupboard in the manner of Gillows. The upper section with a flame mahogany moulded cornice above the twin doors with beautiful flame mahogany panels, egg and dart beading and fine quality geometric mouldings, enclosing three sliding trays (should be four but one is absent) and two ash lined mahogany drawers. The lower section having an arrangement of four graduating ash lined drawers each with beautifully matched flame mahogany veneers, turned knobs and chamfered pilasters. The whole is supported on a flame mahogany veneered plinth, possibly by Gillows of Lancaster. English circa 1820-1830

Condition: This press cupboard is in wonderful condition, one press tray is missing from the top section

Description
A Regency Period flame mahogany press cupboard in the manner of Gillows.
