Mahogany Combination Wardrobe by John Taylor & Son Edinburgh C.1860.

Description

Very handsome mid 19th.c.mahogany two door combination wardrobe and press by the acclaimed Scottish cabinet makers John Taylor & Son of Edinburgh c.1860. Fitted inside with a hanging rail, five sliding shelves over two short drawers and one long drawer below. Simple uncluttered design with a moulded cornice over two long arch panel doors, flame mahogany veneered front on solid mahogany groundwork, raised mouldings and a square plinth. Mahogany veneered sides and chestnut drawer linings. With a clear maker’s stamp inside the right hand door. Excellent colour and condition cleaned and polished in our workshops. Original handles, key supplied.

Please note for delivery though the cornice and plinth can be removed, the body of the wardrobe is in one six foot tall piece of considerable weight.
