Gents silver Fonetainemelon wrist watch, 1923.

The watch has a Swiss hand-winding movement by Fabrique d'Horlogerie de Fontainemelon. The movement is working nicely and it is protected by an inner hinged cover.

The watch measures 33mm diameter excluding the winding crown and the lugs. The case is silver and there are hallmarks inside both of the case backs for London (import mark), 1923 with an importer's or sponsor's mark for George Stockwell. From 1 June 1907, Stockwells acted as assay agents, facilitating the import into Britain of foreign gold and silver items, which had to be assayed and hallmarked in a UK assay office before being released for retail.

The case is in very nice condition, as is the watch glass.

The dial is in lovely condition.

A new leather strap has been fitted.

The watch will be sent in a new presentation box.
