Antique silver full hunter wrist watch, 1916.

The watch has a Swiss hand-winding movement which is working nicely.

The watch measures 35mm diameter excluding the winding crown and the fixed wire lugs. The case is silver and there are hallmarks inside both of the outer covers for London 1916 with an importer's, or sponsor's, mark for George Stockwell.

From 1 June 1907, Stockwells acted as assay agents, facilitating the import into Britain of foreign gold and silver items, which had to be assayed and hallmarked in a UK assay office before being released for retail.

The case is good condition for such a piece, there are some marks and a little unevenness in places, but overall very acceptable. The small button at 8 o'clock is pressed in to release the front cover. Inside, the lens is in good condition.

The dial has a couple of hairline cracks but they are faint.

A new leather strap has been fitted.

The watch will be sent in a new presentation box.
