Mytton Antiques - Jerrard Nares has dated this piece to the 1860s.
Each with a lift off bell shaped cover, the covers with pineapple finials, above hanging leaves.
The rounded bodies finished to the undersides with pineapple finials and spreading leaves. The bodies held aloft by medallioned and thence rams feet, the legs flowing from the rams head masks.
The rams hooves standing on triangular re-entrant edged bases centred by petal head paterae. The whole on conforming marble plinth bases, decorated with beading, and enclosed by a brass mould and plate.
Date c 1860.
