Elmgarden has dated this piece to the 19th Century.
The cross in made from a single piece of wood with a back support, unfortunately the bottom of the Cross has been buried in the ground so is discoloured it has also evidence of an ancient worm attack on one side of the cross
Nevertheless less the cross is sound, the wood is well weathered it is 83” tall and 26” across and 7” total depth including the back strut
