This is a square antique footstool. An English, Victorian, needlepoint, carriage footrest dating to the late 19th century, circa 1890.

Traditionally stuffed and finished in a needlepoint cloth

Some desirable wear to the floral pattern

Trimmed with a golden fringe detail

Attractive colour to the dark walnut frame

Broad rail displays good colour and grain interest

Lower edge moulding and raised on a four squat, bun feet
