Description

A good quality late 19th century "Royal Cabinet of Games" COMPENDIUM, complete and in fine condition.

The box itself is of thuya wood, the lid opening to reveal the fitted interior and the front doors opening to display the chess pieces. Games include: Chess; Draughts; Backgammon; Dominoes; Cribbage Board; Horse Racing (Newmarket); Four packs of contemporary Playing Cards; set of six dice; set of Four peg markers; lead horses & jumps; counters and boxwood dice shaker.

The board within the lid is in excellent and original condition and this compendium is complete with the original Book of Rules. 13ins x 8.5ins x 7.5ins.
