Puckerings has dated this piece to the 1920s.
Clearly the set has hardly ever (if ever) has been used, the condition is quite wonderful. The brushes look untouched with the white stocks are perfectly clean.
The set contains the hairbrush, clothes brush, silver mounted comb and a bevelled hand mirror. The set comes complete in it's original presentation box lined with velvet and cream coloured silk. The interior of the lid is printed with the retailer's details - "L. Barraclough & Son Ltd / Goldsmiths / Leeds / Estd 1805".
Each piece has a matching silver hallmark for Birmingham 1926 together with the makers mark CSG & Co for Charles S Green & Co.
Superb condition with the hairbrush measuring 7 1/4" long, the clothes brush - 4 1/4" long; the mirror - 7 1/2" x 4"; the comb 5" long; the presentation box measuring 10 1/4" x 6 1/2" x 2".
