A splendid Japanese Meiji period imperial satsuma pottery Koro & cover, barrel shaped standing on three ornate feet decorated front & back in gosu blue enamel & gilt with a spray of flowers & bamboo, the koro das two dog of Fo handles with decorative borders and a cover decorated with the imperial mon on top and pierced with butterflies. This charming koro has a lovely crackle glaze and is signed on the underside, it is in excellent condition and stands 6 ½ inches tall.
