In A Nutshell Antiques and Interiors has dated this piece to the Victorian era.
The doors opens up to reveal a series of racks for holding papers and letters.
Below this there is a large concealed drawer in the bottom of the cabinet.
It is in good original condition and although it has been used it has obviously been very well looked after over the years. It would have originally had inkwells which are now missing and we also don't have a key however overall it displays beautifully. There are a few small knocks and marks around the outside, general signs of age and light use and a small repaired chip on the back but nothing detrimental.
