In A Nutshell Antiques and Interiors has dated this piece to the Edwardian era.
The doors opens up to reveal a series of racks for holding papers and letters. There is also a pen tray and glass inkwell. Below this there is a large drawer with ornate brass handle, held in place by a metal pin. The cabinet also comes with its original working key.
There are a few small knocks and marks around the outside, general signs of age and light use and a small chip on the back corner but nothing detrimental. The pin holding the drawer closed has been replaced at some point and the original would have likely been brass.
