George III Mahogany Writing Bureau C.1790.

Description

Very handsome George III mahogany writing bureau c.1790. Open the fall to reveal a good sized work surface with a tooled leather skiver and simple fitted interior of six pigeon holes, six slim stationery drawers and a small lockable centre compartment. Over four long drawers of graduated depth with solid mahogany drawer fronts, cockbeaded edges and good quality Georgian pattern brass handles. With an applied thumb moulding around the base and raised on the original shaped bracket feet front and rear. Oak drawer linings, solid mahogany sides. Excellent condition and particularly good colour. Cleaned and waxed in our workshops. Keys supplied for the fall, the interior cupboard and all four drawers.
