The coloured micro-mosaic panel depicts the Temple of Vespasian and Titus in the foreground, with the further sites of the the Arch of Septimius Severus , the Column of Phocas , the Temple of Saturn and the Temple of Castor and Pollux to the background . To the close foreground is an area of leafy green foliage.

Beautifully executed in fine micro-mosaic with a cleverly conceived perspective that leads the eye deeply into the landscape.
Set into a polished 'Belgio nero' black marble shaped body with a moulded or ribbed edge for purposes of grip .
In excellent original condition with only very minor historic chips to the shaped edges .
