Regency Mahogany Linen Press

19th century
Description

Regency mahogany linen press

This Regency mahogany linen press was made in one of the best workshops of the day, most likely to be Gillows of Lancaster.

This linen press is of a rare design with the bank of drawers running up each side of the central press. Each drawer is fitted its original brass handles (2 we have had cast to match, as they were missing on purchase)

The press is also of unusual design as you have the full press cupboard fitted with sliding shelves and then the 2 graduated drawers below.

Another good feature of the linen press is that it is not of the usual height and so it can fit in a room with lower ceilings.

Imagine this in your home, not only is it superb in its look but it also provides so much storage space, with no wasted space.

197cms widest point on cornice 77 1/2ins

59.5cms deep 23 1/4ins

186cms high 73 1/4ins

All sizes are approximate
