Victorian Antique Silver Christening Tankard 1878

Description

This lovely ANTIQUE SILVER TANKARD stands on a stepped base and is of classic tankard form.

Made by Hilliard & Thomason in 1878 this superb Victorian Silver Tankard has a beautiful chased design of gothic arches and flowers. The arches form blank cartouche type areas which could be used to personalise this lovely Antique Tankard.

In good antique condition (See condition report below) despite being 140 years old, this lovely Tankard would make a fabulous Christening Gift.

Condition:

Used / Excellent

There are no repairs.

Some minor dinks to handle and body – nothing too bad but mentioned for accuracy.

Dimensions:

Height – 2.75” (69mm) / Diameter – 2.5” (63mm)

Weight – 94gm / 3.02ozt
