A Pair of 19th Century Chenets, Fire Dogs.

The pair of ormolu chenets in the form of maidens, with flower and leaf gathered hair, each wearing robes, above Herm pedestals, draped with tassels. The Herms set between scrolling leaf decorated brackets. Resting on stepped plinths with bowed centres.

Height 18 1/2 inches, 42cm.

Width 10 inches, 26cm.

Depth 6 inches, 16cm.
