Limited Editions has dated this piece to the Victorian era.
It can of course go anywhere but at 28inchs wide (71cms) it is not going to be repeated in a hurry. Unrestored but in nice tidy condition with a clean and a rewaxing before it entered the showroom it now sits patiently waiting for a new home. The shelved top section can be used for display or for books and this boasts a pair of pretty little acorn castings. The base has a central cupboard with a top drawer that has been set out for cutlery and a wider lower one for whatever you might want to store. There is a working lock, not common for an item of this age that even has a key, and the handles appear to be original or certainly they are early. The whole item sits on neat little bracket feet. Most sensibly priced for such a rare and neat item.
