M Lees and Sons has dated this piece to the 1870s.
. The edges all with gilded leather and studded borders .

The srchrd-top panels each with ornate rococo type reserves or cartouches with mythical bird motifs and scrolling designs. The reverse of the panels with heavily embossed design in a single block colour.

The 6-fold screen has been divided into 2 3-panel sections by removing the joining hinges but could easily be reinstated to form a large span single piece screen.
Minor scuffs and splits , but with no significant damage or rips .

Would work equally well as a screen or room divider , or used flat against a wall to provide a decorative backdrop to a period scheme.
