Signed oil on canvas showing a view of a river flowing through woodland in summer. The painting is signed by the Belgium artist Garot who was active in the mid-twentieth century. The painting is in excellent condition and mounted in a gilt frame. This is a particularly good example of his work.

Louis Garot was a Belgian painter, especially active in the Brussels region. He painted landscapes, park views and woodlands. He exhibited in Brussels in the 1950's and is mentioned in various Belgian art books.
