This impressive and unusual VICTORIAN POTTERY CHEESE DISH bears the marks for BURGESS & LEIGH of the HILL POTTERY, BURSLEM, STAFFORDSHIRE and dates from circa 1880.

The detailed transfer decoration of a SQUIRREL surrounded by branches of COBNUTS is a delight.

The cover of the Cheese dish is triangular which is quite unusual and it displays beautifully.

There are no cracks or restoration just minor nicks to corners.
